Understanding the Facebook algorithm is the difference between posts that flop and posts that explode with likes, comments, and leads.
It’s not about luck… It’s about strategy, planning, and consistency.
In this blog, I’m going to break down exactly how to bend the Facebook algorithm using simple techniques like warm-up posts, warm-down posts, and a powerful tool I use called ViralHub.
What Is The Facebook Algorithm?
The Facebook algorithm is an automated system that controls what content gets shown in people’s feeds, including your family and friends.
What The Algorithm Looks For:
- Engagement (likes, comments, shares)
- Relevance to the user
- How often you interact with someone
- How long people stay on your post
In simple terms… Facebook pushes content that people interact with.
So if your posts get engagement early… they get shown to more people.
If they don’t…
They die quickly.
This is why it is important to know your target market and what kind of posts you should be using for specific groups or people.
How The Facebook Algorithm Works
Step 1: Make a Post On Facebook
The Facebook algorithm works by sharing your initial post or content with your most interactive and/or closest friends.
Step 2: Hope You Get Interaction
After your post, you will hopefully receive some interaction from your friends. If so, your post will be pushed further to more of your friends…
Step 3: The Facebook Algorithm Takes Effect And Pushes Your Content
If your post has survived this far and is still receiving comments, likes, or shares, the Facebook algorithm will start pushing your content into different feeds, news groups, and searches.
How To Bend The Facebook Algorithim
Most people make one big mistake… They post offers straight away
- No engagement.
- No interaction.
- No trust.
And Facebook shuts it down.
Instead, you need a posting flow that works with the Facebook algorithm…not against it.
The Simple Formula:
- Warm-Up Post (engagement)
- Value or Story Post (connection)
- Offer Post (conversion)
- Warm-Down Post (reset)
This creates a natural engagement pattern that Facebook loves.
What Are Warmup Posts
Warm-up posts are designed to kickstart engagement and to warm up the Facebook algorithm.
They are simple, relatable, and easy to respond to. That’s why we use them… Nothing too heavy or serious, just a positive, informative post to spark engagement.
Examples of Warm-Up Posts:
- “What’s one goal you’re working on right now?”
- “Coffee or tea this morning?”
- “Are you a morning person or night owl?”
These posts work because they:
- Get quick comments
- Start conversations
- Signal activity to the Facebook algorithm
This is exactly what you want to do before posting anything important.
My Warm-up Post Tips
- Keep them short
- Ask questions
- Make them easy to answer
- Reply to every comment
This builds momentum for your next post, and is a must if you want to warm up the Facebook algorithm.
How To Bend The Facebook Algorithm Using ViralHub
Viralub is an online tool inside the OLSP Academy. Members who hold a MegaLink membership get access to this tool.
ViralHub is an online platform set up to help people like you and me get interactions with our posts on social media.
The idea is simple… You go to the ViralHub software and comment on someone else’s post who is after interactions. When you do, you receive credits.
These credits can be used to get interaction on your social media posts.
This is a free way to help your posts go viral, and it only takes a minute or two to earn credits for your posts… or do what I do and earn loads of credits first and then start using them.
